Singapore Botanic Gardens
UNESCO, free (95% of it) — a slow walk, coffee, the Orchid Garden (~S$15) if you want the one paid bit.
Tiong Bahru Market
The 1930s Art-Deco estate, indie cafes, the wet market. Chwee kueh (steamed rice cakes) at Jian Bo Shui Kueh.
Gardens by the Bay
The free Supertree Grove + Garden Rhapsody light show (7:45 & 8:45pm) — the single best-value thing in the city. Skip the paid observation decks.
Day 02 · Singapore
Hawker heritage + Peranakan colour
Tong Ah Eating House
Kaya toast + soft eggs + kopi at a heritage kopitiam.
Katong
Joo Chiat — pastel Peranakan shophouses, ornate tiles. Katong laksa at 328 Katong.
Lau Pa Sat
Satay Street fires up ~7pm (stalls 7 & 8, add grilled stingray). The road closes for dining.
Day 03 · Singapore
Lanes + a free finish
Haji Lane
Kampong Glam — the Sultan Mosque, street art, indie boutiques. Slow coffee.
Jewel Changi Airport
On the way out — the free 40m indoor Rain Vortex waterfall, no flight ticket needed, an attraction in itself before you fly.
