The 7-day South Korea itinerary, day by day
Day 01 · Seoul
Land soft
Insadong
Settle, then a gentle wander through Insadong — tea houses, craft shops, traditional alleys.
First Korean BBQ
Nothing fancy — just good grilled pork and soju to mark night one, then an early night.
Day 02 · Seoul
Palaces and hanok, at opening
Gyeongbokgung Palace
At 9am opening (₩3,000, or free in a rented hanbok) + the Changing of the Guard at 10am. Closed Tuesdays.
Bukchon Hanok Village
A 20-min walk away — the lived-in traditional quarter. Go before it fills; keep your voice down (people live here).
Ikseon-dong
Restored hanok lanes packed with tiny cafes — quieter and cooler than Insadong. The slow-Seoul highlight.
Day 03 · Seoul
Market + view
Gwangjang Market
Bindaetteok (mung-bean pancakes), mayak gimbap, and Michelin-listed Buchon Yukhoe (raw beef). Cash preferred.
N Seoul Tower
On Namsan at dusk for the city laid out below.
Day 04 · Seoul
Your Seoul
Jjimjilbang spa
A flex-day afternoon at a Korean bathhouse — the most restful thing you'll do all trip.
Woo Lae Oak
A last Seoul dinner at the heritage BBQ spot near Namsan.
Transfer · day 4 → 5459 km apart
Day 05 · Jeju
Island settle
Seogwipo
Base in the calm south (rent a car — it's by far the easiest way around Jeju). A black-pork BBQ dinner, early night.
Day 06 · Jeju
Volcano coast
Seongsan Ilchulbong
A short hike up a UNESCO tuff cone for the sunrise — the signature Jeju moment.
Manjanggul Lava Tube
A UNESCO lava cave, at your own pace.
Jeongbang Falls
A waterfall straight into the sea. Fresh haemul (seafood) dinner from a haenyeo hut after.
Day 07 · Jeju
Last island morning
Dongmun Traditional Market
A slow market morning (galchi, tangerines) or a coastal walk, then fly out.
