The 6-day New Zealand itinerary, day by day
Day 01 · Queenstown
Land and lakefront
Fergburger
Drop bags, the famous burger, lakefront beers — the easy landing.
Queenstown bar strip
An easy first night scoping the bar scene — the whole town is walkable.
Day 02 · Queenstown
Send it
Kawarau Bridge Bungy
The world's original commercial bungy (~NZD $192).
Shotover Jet
Canyon jet boat (~NZD $123). Skydive over the lake if the group's feeling brave. Celebrate after — the bar strip is small but goes hard.
Day 03 · Queenstown
Milford reset
Milford Sound
The full 12–13 hour coach + cruise day. Even an adrenaline crew needs the jaw-on-the-floor scenery day. Quiet night to recover.
Day 04 · Queenstown
Gondola + luge + more
Skyline Gondola
Gondola + luge (race the group, ~NZD $78), then more adventure if the legs are up for it — paragliding, the Nevis swing for the truly unhinged. Big night out.
Transfer · day 4 → 525 km apart
Day 05 · Wānaka
Wānaka day-trip
Roys Peak Track
Drive over the Crown Range — a Wānaka lake swim, Roys Peak if anyone's keen (16km; closed Oct 1–Nov 10).
Last big Queenstown night
Beers at Federal Diner in Wānaka, then back for the last big Queenstown night out.
Transfer · day 5 → 625 km apart
Day 06 · Queenstown
Out
Lake Wakatipu
Recovery brunch, lakefront walk, fly home.
