Afternoon in Testaccio, the working-class food district. Dinner here.
Day 03 · Rome
The Vatican
Vatican Museums
+ the Sistine Chapel (€25 with the booking fee, early slot — walk briskly to the Sistine first).
St Peter's Basilica
Free entry after the museums; then an afternoon aperitivo and an easy Trastevere dinner.
Day 04 · Rome
Your Rome
Galleria Borghese
Borghese Gallery (book ahead) and its gardens, or a slow Trastevere/Monti wander. Last Roman dinner.

David early + the Uffizi (reserved slots). Pace them. Lunch at Trattoria Mario (cash, lunch, no bookings).

The dome climb (timed), then a slow Oltrarno afternoon or a half-day to Siena.

St Mark's Basilica
+ the Doge's Palace (combined pass) early, before the cruise crowds.
Burano
Afternoon vaporetto to Murano + Burano (glass + the rainbow houses). A gondola if you must — ~€90 per boat (up to 5), not per person.
Day 10 · Venice
Out
Cannaregio
A last quiet morning (the real, lived-in Venice away from San Marco), then onward by train or out via Venice (VCE).
